Company description:CEVA Logistics headoffice B.V.Job description:About the RoleWe have an amazing opportunity for a Solution Design Engineer to join our Transport Centre of Excellence team based at Ashby de la Zouch. The Transport Centre of Excellence team is responsible for business growth by maximising the use of CEVA Vehicles through sound modelling and innovative solution design. With close collaboration with Sector Business Directors, the teams challenge the status quo putting CEVA and our customers first.Reporting into the Head of Carrier Management you will provide experienced analytical support and engage in best practice solution design, implementations, costings and presentations for both current and projected business propositions. You will undertake solution design projects independently, initiate the gathering and analysis of information from current and prospective customers to ensure quality, innovative, cost effective and operationally sound solution are designed and presented within the required timelines and standards. Support and collaborate with senior management with the production of internal and external proposals and presentations, take ownership of internal pricing metrics, conduct solution operational reviews alongside Business Development Project Managers to gain operational and financial sign off and assist in contract implementations and other “off site” projects.Our ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience within logistics solution design, a proven track record across a wide range of projects/implementations with direct operational experience in transport planning / transport operational knowledge. Experience of producing cost models would be desirable.You will be computer literate, skilled in the use of assorted modelling software and transport systems, such as Paragon. It goes without saying that you will be an excellent communicator, possess good analytical and problem solving skills, have high attention to detail, be customer focused and a strong team player.Driving licence is required to travel to operations and customer meetings Required skills
