Job Description

The Team & Focus of the RoleWe have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and collaborative professional to bring real-world experience to a national RICS-regulated property consultancy. You will join the firm’s Safety, Health & Environment team, part of the General Counsel &Risk Department, supporting the SHE Manager to drive a positive workplace safety culture, develop the firm’s management systems, and monitor the firm’s environmental impact.We’re looking for a SHE Advisor who is passionate about what they do and enjoys working in a collaborative and dedicated team. The role will be suited to an intermediate SHE Advisor or a SHE Assistant looking to step up and interested in working in a professionalservices environment.Duties will include…

  • Supporting the delivery of the annual SHE programme.
  • Reviewing and updating SHE policies and procedures.
  • Conducting generic risk assessments and reviewing contract-specific RAMS.
  • Maintaining a COSHH Assessment programme.
  • Preparing MI and reports in relation to safety matters and environmental performance.
  • Identifying and analysing trends to support continuous improvement activities.
  • Triaging and prioritising incoming enquires and concerns, escalating high-risk items to departmental management, and tracking corrective actions.
  • Organising and chairing quarterly SHE Representative meetings.
  • Completing SHE compliance audits as and when required.
  • Monitoring incident reporting and conducting initial investigations.
  • Keeping health and safety records, training records and certificates up to date.
  • Assisting with the renewal of SHE certifications and accreditations.
  • Provide general support across the firm.
The successful candidate will have...
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ Level 3 equivalent (required)
  • IEMA Environmental Foundation Certificate or equivalent (desirable)
  • An internal audit qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience (required)
  • Professional services experience (desirable)
  • ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 management systems experience (required)
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to influence (required)
  • Analytical skills and a practical mindset (required)
  • Outstanding prioritisation and organisational skills (required)
  • Excellent attention to detail (required)
  • Great verbal and written communication skills (required)
  • Driving Licence (required)
