Job Description

Job Title: Senior Planner | Principal PlannerLocation: Ashby De La ZouchSalary: Attractive salary + Strong benefits packagePenguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a Property Consultancy.You will be part of a professional, successful and customer orientated team providing clients with high quality, customer focussed, timely and outcome-based planning services. They can offer flexible working arrangements and competitive rates of pay. The role comprises:

  • Promote residential, mixed use and commercial developments (both Brownfield and Greenfield) through the Local Development Framework* Coordinate professional teams to support the submission of planning applications and take on project management responsibility of the teams* Conduct research and site appraisals on projects* Prepare, submit and negotiate on planning and applications* Prepare policy representations* Develop client relationships* Input to planning appeals
The successful candidate will have...
  • Be MRTPI qualified or close to submission* Great interpersonal skills* Self-motivated and manage and prioritise your own caseload* Team player* Good understanding of IT and Microsoft Office* Attention to detail and accuracy* Excellent time/work management* Ability to work under pressure, plan and meet deadlines whilst retaining high quality work delivery and service to the client* Good understanding of the planning system and housing market* Mentoring junior members of the team, including mentoring through the APC process* Managing budgets and invoicing
