Job Description

T&K Associates have an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join our Client in Ashby-de-la-Zouch on a permanent basis!As the Production Supervisor you will be responsible for the effective and efficient production, meeting required demand whilst ensuring high levels of quality.You will be required to supervise, lead, encourage and develop staff through driving and maintaining high standards whilst creating an environment of trust and respect.You will be responsible for managing available resources within the Company to ensure maximum productivity and ensure all manufacturing processes are adhered to, enabling predictable and reliable output at the highest level of quality.Production Supervisor Job Details & Benefits;

  • £30k-35k per annum
  • Monday to Thursday 8am-5pm & Friday 8am-3.30pm

Production Supervisor Role and Responsibilities include;
  • Provide day-to-day leadership of the production team
  • Ensure appropriate resource is allocated to support production plans and targets raising any concerns to the Production Manager
  • Manage daily and weekly metrics, ensure a swift closure of issues and disruptions
  • Continually monitor the performance of individuals and the team to validate planning methodology and the suitability of training and work instructions
  • Drive continuous improvement to meet the Operations goals within your area
  • Ensure appropriate training through use of work Instructions is planned and provided to support flexibility without impacting quality
  • Take responsibility for ensuring new staff are trained against valid work Instructions
  • Act as a central point of contact between production and other Operations staff for a quick resolution of faults/problems/issues
  • Work with the Production Manager to identify the required equipment, resource, layouts, documentation and training to meet future demands
  • Manage material within production and liaise with colleagues to ensure documents are promptly updated and all finished jobs are transacted upon completion
  • Identify and highlight any non-conformities and problems
  • Ensure relevant H&S requirements are met
Production Supervisor Person Specification;
  • A minimum of 3 years supervisor experience or strong cell lead experience
  • Experience within a similar manufacturing industry
  • Able to work under pressure to ensure deadlines are met
  • Ability to supervise, lead, encourage and develop staff
  • A good leader and team player
  • Highly organised
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
