Job Description

Weekend Parcel Sorters jobs are available at East Midlands Airport (DE74 2SA).No experience is needed for this Parcel Sorter role as full training is provided.This is a long-term ongoing assignment.Students or individuals looking for additional income over the Christmas season are perfect for the shift patterns.Choose from the following shift patterns:

  • Fri (10 hrs) 1900 hrs0530 hrs £13.46 p/h - £14.46 p/h
  • Fri & Sat (20 hrs) 1900 hrs0530 hrs £13.46 p/h - £14.46 p/h
  • Fri & Sat & Sun (30 hrs)1900 hrs0530 hrs £13.46 p/h - £14.46 p/h
  • Fri to Monday (40 hrs) 1900 hrs0530 hrs £13.46 p/h - £14.46 p/h
  • Sat & Sun (20 hrs)1900 hrs0530 hrs£14.46 p/h
  • Sat to Mon (30 hrs) 1900 hrs0530 hrs £13.46 p/h - £14.46 p/h
Parcel Sorter will receive:
  • Flexible shift patterns between 10 hrs40 hrs per week

Parcel Sorter duties will include:
  • Loading and unloading parcels, freight & cargo weighing up to 20 kg per item.
  • Working on a busy parcel sorting line moving parcels from aircraft containers.
  • Scanning parcels.
To be considered for this Parcel Sorter position:
  • Any experience as a Warehouse Operative, Picker/Packer, Loader or Warehouse Assistant would be highly desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
  • You must be prepared to work in a manual environment.
  • Apply for a Criminal Record Check (refunded after 12 weeks).
  • A 5-year background check as part of the recruitment process.
