Job Description

HR AdvisorAshby de la Zouch, hybrid working available£32,000-£35,000 p.a.

The Company:ER Recruitment are very excited to be working with our client Breedon Consulting based in Ashby, Leicestershire, who are an award-winning HR Consultancy, achieving exceptional year on year growth in their industry and are now looking to grow and build theirHR Team.The successful candidate will get to work with industry-leading clients and vibrant, supportive colleagues where you will share experiences and learn from one another.Role & Responsibilities of the HR Advisor:
  • Providing advice via email, telephone and face to face.
  • Building relationships with managers within a variety of different clients.
  • Keeping abreast of employment law changes.
  • Review employee handbooks and contract of employment for clients, or draft new documentation, taking into consideration the clients preference and varied business type.
  • Advise on all areas of ER, i.e., investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, appeals, performance management and absence management, taking the lead with hands-on support when required.
  • Identifying risks associated to cases and advising clients of, not only the risk, but alternative solutions, in order that the client can choose which option they wish to take.
  • Assisting clients with setting up and updating the HR system (Breathe).
  • Using and maintaining company template documentation, personalising them for client use, and improving and updating them in line with preference and Employment Law.
  • Assisting with the preparation of Tribunal documentation with the Operations Director, to ensure a high-quality submission, taking in to account all supporting evidence.
  • Keeping a time log of all time spent dealing with client case load and recording all details of calls, emails, meetings, etc. within the CRM system.
  • Working to tight deadlines and within the departments SLAs.
  • Identifying opportunities, within the current client base, for the wider business, i.e., L&D and strategic partnerships.
  • Designing and delivering HR workshops for clients, as and when required
  • Any other reasonably requested duties, as and when required.
About You as the HR Advisor:
  • Ideally 5+ years of working within an equivalent HR Advisory role.
  • Competent in chairing ER meetings, including disciplinary, grievance, appeal, welfare, performance and absence management, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, specifically Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Teams
  • Confident - able to influence key stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated - able to manage my own time to the advantage of the business.
  • Multi-tasker - able to juggle different tasks and caseload.
  • Proactive - whilst the role is very reactive, being proactive encourages workload in order to grow the role
  • Problem-solver - able to ask relevant questions in order to identify the problem and provide the solution(s).
  • Team worker - able to work closely within a small team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Upselling - keeping abreast and understanding of the full range of services on offer for clients and the strategic partnership offerings.
