Our client is a leading international service business working closely with the NHS / Medical / Healthcare Industry ideally situated on the Leicestershire / Derbyshire / Nottinghamshire boarders and therefore easily accessible from across the East Midlandsand specially so given the hybrid working offering.As part of the companys rapid expansion, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Head of Finance / Finance Director to Join the UK Business.Reporting into the Group CFO and working closely with the UK Managing Director, this position will form a key role in the UK SLT Form part of the UK SLT working closely with MD and Group CFO taking ownership of the Financial, commercial and strategic management of the UK Finance Function. Work closely with SLT to Implement a strategic playbook which incorporates annual budget and a 3-year plan to drive focus on both financial and non-financial strategic goals. Work closely with operations and sales managers, provide financial support for commercial activities, and establish finance and administrative systems Provide strong financial reporting integrity and analytical review of financial results, ensuring proper maintenance of all general ledger accounts and financial transactions Prepare monthly financial statements, for management review and for bank reporting, and coordinate annual audit Co-ordinate the annual budgeting process; and compare to actual results with a view to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate Maintain and develop internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, capital costs, and expenditures Oversee payroll, ensure correct accounting and payroll tax remittances Assist and provide guidance on HMRC compliance Analytical review and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis Ensure accurate billing of customers is provided on a timely basis Responsible for cash and cash reporting, receivables and collections, and vendor payments Responsibility for the annual external audit Responsibility for legal and company secretarial activities Responsibility for tax compliance in conjunction with the Group Tax Manage Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization; create and promote a positive and supportive work environmentThe ideal candidate will be formally qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with at least 3-5 Years PQE. Experience gained within Medical / Pharma / Healthcare / Services is desirable however those from other industries will be considered.Candidates will need to be experienced in developing and expanding a team and therefore have a proven background in a leadership position. This position will also be the lead commercial position for the UK business playing a key role in the analytics, MI and pricing for new contractsStrong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management coupled with the ability and desire to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels includingfinance and non-finance managers is keyThis client is equally open to candidates on an upward stage in their career, those seeking a first step into a No 1 Position will therefore be considered.In return this position and business promises to be both varied and progressive with excellent opportunity for short and long-term growth but also offering genuine scope to impact and influence the UK business.A basic salary of £75,000 to £95,000 coupled with excellent benefits, bonus and hybrid working can be offered.
