Job Description

We operate UK-wide advising and managing a range of client portfolios with national visibility across all the 6 property market sectors; rural, commercial, development, residential, infrastructure services and sustainable energy.Purpose of Job

  • To implement, promote, manage, audit and report on best practice in all aspects of the client accounting (CA) function across all regions.
  • To develop and support the CA teams across all Fisher German through training, CPD delivery, time management and implementation of best practice.
  • To lead on and advise on non-active CA functions such as deposit management, dormant bank accounts and Anti-Money Laundering.
  • To promote the importance of the CA role within FG to other stakeholders and to develop a level of service standard that can be marketed to clients
  • To help implement the restructuring of the CA teams.
  • The successful candidate will:
  • Monitor, manage all CA procedures and policies.
  • Be the first point of contact for CA team members in terms of their technical and accounting support.
  • Review and monitor the monthly task cycles within CA for compliance with the CA procedures and policies.
  • Have regular face to face, telephone, video call and written contact with all CA team members and to be involved in any formal performance reviews, disciplinaries and recruitments.
  • Develop, implement, manage, and review the training and professional development of all CA team members in line with their individual needs, aspirations and roles.
  • Directly manage those personnel who are in the central CA team and to manage on a shared basis (with RMPs) those in a virtual/seconded role for the effective delivery of the tasks and responsibilities of the CA Manager.
  • Be involved in research, develop and propose cost and time efficiency measures across the CA teams.
  • Provide support the Head of Property Management Service Line and be an integral member of the Project Athena team.
  • Provide input and support to the longer term vision and strategy of the CA service as part of the Property Management Service Line. As part of a team implement a singular way of working across all CA team members.
  • Manage a singular way of working across all CA team members.
  • Provide information on returns to HMRC, RICS and any other third party which for a time may demand information from Fisher German including but not limited to the Schedule 23 Return and RICS Annual Return.
  • Oversee the VAT returns.
  • Oversee the MTD (Income tax) changes.
