Job Description

Credit Control Supervisor/ North West Leicestershire/ Temporary 6 months/ Hybrid Working/ £30,000Are you a passionate Senior Credit Controller or Supervisor looking for a new challenge, where you can hit the ground running, taking a lead in coaching your team and have a positive impact on the companys future growthMacildowie are pleased to be exclusively partnered with this longstanding client who are on the lookout for an experienced, driven and people focused Credit Control supervisor to join their team on a temporary basis.THE ROLE & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maximise daily/weekly/monthly cash collection through effective monitoring and proactive collection activity. Collect sales ledger cash owed to the Company by customers within the due dates.
  • Minimise overdue debt through timely and effective application of delinquency policy.
  • Facilitate and resolve customer invoice queries in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Supervise and manage a team of 6-11 credit controllers, (including an off-shore team) supporting your team through regular one to one reviews and coaching.
  • Support the distribution of accurate invoices and credit notes on a timely basis.
  • Proactively, lead and motivate the collections for both the UK and Overseas collections teams.
  • Support the UKIN Receivables & Billing Manager in co-ordinating activities, team priorities, escalations, risks awareness and reporting whilst acting as in the Team Lead
  • Other Finance administrative tasks as required to cover for other finance staff and other ad-hoc duties as required.
EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE: Essential:
  • Experience working within credit control
  • Experience of working with large numbers of accounts both complex and transactional
  • Experience with managing small teams
  • Strong communication skills with demonstrable ability to balance resolve and purpose with a professional and polite approach in potentially sensitive discussions.
  • Skilled at dealing with difficult customers to ensure the best outcome.
  • Ability to prioritise and direct workload so that deadlines are met.
  • Confident and assertive nature
  • Able to work on own initiative with ledgers in their control
Desirable:
  • Obtained or working towards CICM qualification
  • Experience of Credit vetting, running credit reports and credit limit referral
  • Experience in the logistic and freight industry
