Calibration Engineer Term: PermanentHours: Full time39 per week will the possibility of overtimeSalary: £20,000 to £28,000 per annum depending on experienceLocation: Based in Leicestershire with possible attendance to customer premisesRoles available: 2 rolesUniversal Instrument Services are a UKAS accredited multi parameter calibration laboratory and operate one of the most technically advanced independent calibration laboratories in the UK. Our calibration facility covers a wide range of calibration disciplinesIncluding: Electrical, Temperature, Torque, Time, Dimensional, Speed, Flow and Pressure calibration.Some examples of instrumentation we calibrate are Multimeters, Insulation Testers, Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, Thermometers, Temperature Controllers, Pressure Gauges, Pressure transducers, Ovens, Torque Wrenches and many more.Due to recent growth, we are looking to expand our team of existing Engineers and as such we are looking for an additional Engineer to join our calibration team. As there are two roles, we are open to applications from trainees and experienced engineers.The available position would involve the Engineer performing calibration within our calibration laboratories and at our customers UK premises. Whilst working within our calibration laboratories you will be working with other Engineers, however there isa requirement to work both as part of a team and independently when working at our customers premises. The role will include travel to customer sites across the region and on occasion further afield. As such, this may also include occasional overnight staysand weekend work.To be successful for the role you will have generalist knowledge of electrical and mechanical principle and previous experience of using various test equipment or calibration would be an advantage. Additional training and development is available dependingon experience.Essential Criteria
