Job Description

Accounting ManagerAshby-de-la-Zouch, LeicestershireC £32,000 Dependant on Experience12 month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity), with the provision to extend or go permanent

The Company:ER recruitment are thrilled to be partnered with an exciting forward-thinking company who have been established for over 20 years and growing rapidly in the digital sector.They are in search for an Accounting Manager who will support the efficient operation of the Finance department. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and confident with financial duties.Role & Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager:
  • Create invoices as appropriate and maintain bookkeeping.
  • Daily reconciliation of bank account and posting cash receipts/payments. Update Excel cash forecast spreadsheet.
  • Setting up transfers to international accounts.
  • Preparation of weekly sales order book.
  • Preparation and e-mailing sales invoices to customers. Posting invoices to the sales ledger and updating daily sales analysis and the cash forecast.
  • Raise purchase orders and code to the appropriate general ledger account.
  • Match purchase invoices with POs and circulate for approval using their electronic signing platform. Post invoices to the purchase ledger and general ledger and update the cash forecast.
  • Prepare purchase ledger payment runs and circulate for approval prior to setting up and the bank system. Once approved, set up the payments in the bank for sign off.
  • Manage company credit cards, expenses & petty cash and post to the general ledger.
  • Post payroll journal and other sundry journals to the general ledger for monthly MA preparation.
  • Preparation for month end close.
  • Extract reports from the general ledger.
  • Basic office administration will also be required such as answering calls, attending to visitors, handling post and stationery etc.
About You as the Accounting Manager:
  • Experience in a similar Financial role.
  • Proven ability to use Accounting Software
  • Highly organised with the ability to hit and/or exceed deadlines
  • Someone with a logical mind who is proactive
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Focused and meticulous with the ability to multi-task.
