You will also be flexible,reliable and love working as part of a team.As a Laundry Assistant youll launder and iron our residents clothing to the highest standards, putting it away tidily and ensuring wardrobes and drawers are always clean and neat.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out all cleaning duties as directed by the Head Housekeeper to the required Company standards. Cleaning duties can be in any area of the nursing home.Ensure that daily and deep cleaning schedules are adhered to.Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene.Ensure that all cleaning equipment is correctly and safely used and kept in a safe condition. Report any defect to the Home Manager.Carry out any other reasonable instructions of the Home Manager.To be sensitive to the privacy and individual needs of the residents.To comply with COSHH regulations.To adhere to infection control polices at all times.To ensure the correct use of PPE.To follow the correct use of colour code systems within the homeCarry out other ad hoc duties as requested by the Head Housekeeper or Home Manager.To ensure all necessary documentation is completed daily.To ensure trolleys are re-stocked at the end of shift and cleaning cupboards are left clean and tidySkills & ExperiencePrevious cleaning experienceAbility to communicate on the telephoneGood communication skills both written and verbalAble to carry out instructions accurately.A knowledge of health and safetyAn understanding of infection controlFlexible and reliable attitude to working arrangementsCommitted to customer care and first class service provisionAbility to work alone as well as part of a teamAdaptable, friendly, polite, courteous and caringQualificationsBasic education, including English and Maths We require you to have had both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to work in our care homes. All our bedrooms are lovely and big and residents are welcome to add their own personal touches to their rooms. Were even open to people bringing small pets with them.Weve recently opened a brand new nursing dementia floor with 14 spacious and beautifully decorated rooms for older people living with dementia. All the rooms are en-suite and have lots of space for relaxing.Larkland House care home also has beautiful gardens, including a secure area where residents can help out with some gardening if they like, or simply sit and enjoy a cup of tea in the fresh air. Were in a great semi-rural location but still convenientlyclose to all of the shops and amenities of Ascot high street.
