Job Description

Rutherford Briant are recruiting for a Semi-Senior Accountant for a local reputable firm of Chartered Accountants based in Hertfordshire. The firm are renowned for offering both a progressive and rewarding job and aims to ensure staff have a positive workingenvironment that looks after your wellbeing.This position would suit an individual who perhaps wants to progress and complete their ACA/ACCA qualification with full study support from the company. Or someone who needs a more positive working environment.What you will do:

Work alongside managers and senior staff, with a range of client exposure and responsibilities for relationship building and client management.
Prepare year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships to final stage.
Prepare audit and accounts.
Finalise accounts.
Complete tax returns, personal, partnership and companies.
Business tax skills, including preparing computations for sole traders, partnerships and companies.

What you will need:

At least 1 year experience in public practice.
Bookkeeping, VAT returns and Accounts Preparation experience.
Experience using Xero software.
