Job title: Navigator (Employment Support Advisor)Salary: Circa £21,500 per annumHours: Full time 37 hours per weekLocation: Annfield Plain (with travel throughout County Durham) - The job is covering the Crook Area but will be based in Annfield Plain.About the organisationOur client is a leading regeneration charity, working through partnership to create communities in which people are proud to live and work.Reaching Out Across Durham (ROAD) is an exciting employment programme in County Durham jointly funded by the European Social Fund and the National Lottery Community Fund until July 2019 with potential to be extended subject to further funding.Working in partnership with 10 voluntary and community sector delivery partners who are specialists in employment, financial and digital inclusion and volunteering, ROAD will support 625 long term unemployed people into or towards employment.About the roleThe charity is looking to recruit someone who will work as a member of a dedicated partnership team who will work as one of their Navigators on Reaching Out Across Durham (ROAD) you will manage a caseload of participants and provide them with 1:1 support,helping them overcome barriers to employment by signposting into existing and new services as well as supporting them to access job search, employment, training and self-employment. You will be responsible for supporting participants through every stage oftheir journey, enabling participants to address their barriers and realise their aspirations.This role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure endorsed by the Disclosure and Barring ServiceA bit about youThey want someone like you who has experience of undertaking participant engagement activities and caseload management on employability programmes. Proven experience of excellent people and communication skills, as well as ensuring quality assurance in programmedelivery to achieve targets is essential.
