Job Description

The Education Network are assisting one of our partnership schools in their search for a new Head Teacher. The school is a PRU / SEND School based in North Lincolnshire and has an extremely good reputation in the market. The school has a maximum of 75 children although they are not running at capacity at the minute. It has a very high retention rate as the staff are extremely happy and have worked together as a team for a long time.The position is to start in September, working alongside the current Head Teacher who will be stepping down in December. Experience of SEND Schools at leadership level is essential however our client will look at candidates looking to make the step from Assistant to their first Headship. The person will have an ability to lead and be able to sell the school to its strengths and develop any areas that may need attention. This would be a very good position for someone looking to step up into their first Headship role.Experience of SEND, Behavioural, Complex needs, Autism and SEMH would be advantageous as would proven ability to lead and manage a team and everything that comes along with this position. Other areas of experience and ability would be:

  • Time table planning experience
  • Experience of dealing with OFSTED
  • CPD
  • Staff Training and development
  • Recruitment and retention
  • Being up to date with SEND Guidelines
  • Able to be a front of house head teacher and able to attract new pupils
