Job Description

Job Title: Estimator - RetrofitLocation: Hessle, UKSalary: £30,000 - £40,000Job Type: Full-timeWe are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team in Hessle. The successful candidate will be responsible for pricing energy retrofit into social housing, ideally with experience in social housing retrofit/refurb.Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for energy retrofit projects in social housing
  • Work closely with the project team to ensure that estimates are accurate and up-to-date
  • Analyse project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and required materials
  • Identify potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities
  • Review and analyse subcontractor quotes and proposals
  • Prepare bid packages and proposals
  • Attend site meetings as required
  • Liaise with contractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders as required
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Estimator or similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good IT skills
  • Experience in pricing energy retrofit into social housing is essential
  • Experience in social housing retrofit/refurb is desirable
