Job Description

M&E Service ManagerManchesterOur client provides Electrical and Mechanical solutions to the Commercial, Industrial, HV and Airport Sectors.The management team have a passion for customer satisfaction, engineering excellence and attention to details, wealth of experience in delivering Building Services and Infrastructure solutions in diverse environments has allowed our customers to feel securein the knowledge that projects are delivered in a cost effective, professional and structured approach, delivering quality within safe operating systems.They are looking for an experience M&E Engineer join the team based in Manchester .Providing M&E building services to all its customers including small power and lighting; plumbing & heating services and air-conditioning & ventilation services.The job will involve a mix of both installation and service & maintenance works clients premises..Clients premises are offices, warehouse and distribution units, retail units and public buildings.They are looking for an experienced and qualified M&E Service Service Manager with a proven track in building services to join the team.Main Responsibilities

  • Establish key relationships with client representatives
  • Attend meetings with stakeholders to monitor and improve service delivery
  • Ensure the contract is delivered to agreed budgetary parameters and manage monthly financial commitment, maximise revenues and optimise overall technical expenditure
  • Delivery of hard services including front line repair and/or establishment of reactive M&E requirements
  • Ensure that all aspects of service outputs are delivered to comply with the operating contract, statutory legislation and good working practice at all times to ensure that H&S management obligations are met
  • Ensure that works are delivered in a timely manner to avoid contract penalties
  • Ensure that all works are undertaken by the most cost-effective manner using either self-delivery or suppliers
  • There will be occasions to be hands-on and working alongside the engineers on the tools
  • Assist in the development of a high performing supply chain
  • Build relationships with service partners and attend regular planned meetings where appropriate and ensure full co-operation as and when required
  • Manage service partners and suppliers in conjunction with contract documents and client requirements
  • Achieve and improve KPI objectives and internal service provision assigned to carry out duties
  • Quality and performance management of all services including performance reporting
  • Maintain Hard FM management systems for site-based operations to ensure that jobs
  • Assisting with resourcing and managing project works including, but not limited to, equipment upgrades and building and M&E asset replacements
  • Attend and chair weekly operations client meetings
  • Ensure the cultivation of innovation and best practice
  • Be available to respond and deal with any incidents that occur during out of normal hours emergency situations as part of a staff on-call rota system, along with being obtainable via phone 24/7. Available to undertake out of hours work, when required
  • Overall responsibility for the operation of the permit to work system and hold the role of AP/CP were required
  • Collection and provision of data related to all technical services operations
  • Assist in developing and maintaining business continuity plans
  • Ensure engineers training is up-to-date and carry out regular tool box talks to promote and maintain safety within the workplace
The Ideal CandidateEssential
  • Qualified at Degree level in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/Building Services
  • ONC/HNC electrical / mechanical qualification or equivalent
  • IOSH managing safely
  • Completed recognised apprenticeship
  • Demonstrate previous experience of management of Hard FM/ technical services contracts
  • The ability to influence change where required, along with customer facing attitude and excellent team building / people management skills
