Job Description

We are recruiting a Joiner (Multi Skilled) (1 post) to join our Onward Repairs team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business to deliver property maintenance services, undertaking repair activities within customers homes, voids and forother clients as required.Colleague Benefits:

About us:Onward Homes is one of the largest registered providers of social housing in the North West, with 35,000 properties across the region employing over 900 colleagues. Onward Repairs are Onward Homes in house contractor and are one of the largest contractors in the area and we aim to deliver a high-quality flexible service to our customers ensuring our homes remain fit for the future.We operate across the Lancashire region providing all day-to-day repairs and vacant properties repairs, gas servicing and out of hours service to our customers.What we are looking for:
  • Minimum of L2 NVQ or equivalent qualification in Joinery and relevant experience.
  • Appropriate CSCS card.
  • Sound knowledge of building construction, components, building trades and applicable building regulations.
  • Experience of working in a customer focussed service.
  • Proven ability to deliver a quality customer centred repairs service.
  • Experience of working in a target driven environment.
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations, regulation and ACOPS relevant to the post and associated tasks undertaken within it, in line with HASAWA 1974.
  • Full UK driving license.
Desirable requirements:
  • Experience of working within a commercial and domestic property maintenance environment.
  • Experience of delivering services within the social housing sector.
  • Experience of using PDA technology (handheld/mobile working technology).
  • Hold relevant health & safety qualifications which relate to the sector/construction industry in general for example, Asbestos awareness, power tool training, Manual handling training.
The role involves participation in an emergency out of hours service as required on a rota basis which includes weekend work.
