Job Description

Region : LancashireThey are recruiting a Gas Engineer (1 post) to join our clients team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business to deliver Gas servicing, installations and breakdown repairs, undertaking activities within customers homes, empty propertiesand for other clients as required.Colleague Benefits:

About them:They are one of the largest registered providers of social housing in the North West, with 35,000 properties across the region employing over 900 colleagues.Their in house contractor and are one of the largest contractors in the area and they aim to deliver a high-quality flexible service to their customers ensuring their homes remain fit for the future.They operate across the Lancashire region providing all day-to-day repairs and vacant properties repairs, gas servicing and out of hours service to their customers.What they are looking for:
  • Experience of gas systems and working within a commercial or property maintenance environment.
  • Track record of completing Gas Servicing programmes.
  • Proven ability to deliver a quality customer centred repairs service.
  • Proven ability to work to required standards.
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations, regulation and ACOPS relevant to the post and associated tasks undertaken within it, in line with HASAWA 1974.
Essential requirements:
  • Qualified to City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 (recognised Gas trade qualification).
  • Qualified to work with Central heating, Water heaters, Cookers, Pipe work, unvented hot water, (formally ACOPS 1-14).
  • Qualified Gas Safe Engineer (CCN1) - Install, Commission, Service, Safety Check Natural Gas and LPG and appropriate CSCS card.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Ability to use PDA technology (handheld/mobile working technology).
The role may involve participation in an emergency out of hours service as required on a rota basis which includes weekend work. This is in addition to the contractual hours for which you will received and additional compensation.Their head office is based in Accrington, but you should be prepared to travel across Lancashire to cover their repairs service.They would encourage you to submit your application early as they reserve the right to close this vacancy before the closing date.
