Are you an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer with an ambition to work in a highly technical environment delivering solutions in to the Commercial and Military Aerospace sector Would you enjoy working in a small team where you will be responsible for a wide range of technologies and where you will be given responsibility and input into future technical strategy. You will benefit from working in a business which has thrived in its market for the last 65 years, you will be helping deliver solutions to many global leaders in the aerospace sector, our client has seen a growth in their military operations in the past 18 months and is now starting to see a return in their commercial business. You will have the opportunity to work across Servers, Network and Desktop technology, you will be given responsibility to deliver some of their key projects across the next period, these would include, a Network Upgrade, VLAN redesign, Upgrade of the Storage infrastructure and a Server refresh, they are also looking to move some of their services to the cloud and eventually will have a cloud first strategy. As an IT Engineer you will be responsible for:-You will Supporting varied IT projects from Networking, Firewalls, security, hardware ect…-Supporting some 1st 2nd & 3rd line enquiries -70% project work & 30% reactive support work. -Experienced with physical and virtual server environments plus SQL and mail.-Experienced in full Microsoft stack (server, client and cloud technologies)-Maintain customers requests, tickets and root course closures within agreed SLAS. -Contribute to new technologies and process/ system improvements. You will have the following skills and experience: -Ideally certified in Microsoft and network CCNA or equivalent. -Ability to work as part of small team in the office and remotely.-You are collaborative and share workloads as part of a supportive team. -A good communicator both verbal and written with the appreciation of when to escalate topics and issues to IT Management. -Ability to adapt, change. grow and learn with the business.What is in it for you Salary GBP35-GBP42k depending on experience and certifications.Benefits - Generous Pension Scheme, Holiday 25 days, Annual leave and 8 bank holidays.Monday to Friday 1pm finish on a Friday.Onsite parking Life insurance Additional Information Please be aware that many roles working for our client will be subject to both security and export control restrictions.
