We complete day to day repairs to customers’ homes and also empty properties to bring them up to the required Onward standard. Onward is committed to being a diverse and inclusive organisation in every aspect of our work.We are looking for an Electrical Team Leader (1 post) to join our Repairs team in the Lancashire region.Reporting to the Mechanical and Electrical Compliance Manager, you will manage the delivery of Electrical activities to ensure successful completion of the works within constraints of budgets, deadlines, quality and health & safety, ensuring this matches our goal of placing customers at the heart of our service, including providing supervisory support and leadership to Colleagues.You will support the plan to deliver improvements in the quality and the efficiency of the services and lead on the day-to-day management of contractor functions and suppliers relating to all electrical activities delivered on time and within budget.You will ensure key operational, financial targets and Electrical Servicing KPI’s are achieved in line with the aims and objectives of the business, successfully managing budgets to ensure delivery of agreed KPI’s and operating plans.Directly managing productivity and work planning systems you will ensure the effective use of all resources including supply chain and undertake effective quality control and quality assurance on works carried out, utilising work in progress inspections and post inspections.Ensuring safe methods of working are adopted you will ensure that Electrical operatives are suitably qualified and trained to deliver the work required.You will implement new streams of business or operational areas to ensure maximum value for money and have responsibility for implementing appropriate systems and controls.You will provide line management and leadership to a team, managing resources to ensure that objectives are achieved and ensure a collaborative working approach.It is essential that you have a proven ability to deliver a quality customer centred repairs service, experience of the management of a similar construction trade based maintenance business and a track record of managing Electrical programmes.Experience of leading a team to a high level of performance along with the ability to effectively manage productivity, resource/work planning and an effective supply chain is also required.You should be qualified to City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 (recognised Electrical trade qualification), have a Code of Practice for Electrical Safety or similar electrical qualification for Fixed Electrical Equipment and Portable Appliance Testing regimes (2391, 2394/5) and have an appropriate CSCS card.You should also be 18th Edition qualified and an NICEIC certified Electrician.The role will involve out of hours support as required to provide guidance to our Electricians on the emergency call out rota.All posts are recruited to the recruitment salary and movement to the confirmed salary is based on successful completion of a 6 month probation.
