Job Description

They are looking for an Apprentice Grounds Maintenance and Cleaning Operative - (2 posts) to join their Environmental Services team.This role will be based at their Accrington site. Their hours of operation are Monday to Friday. Full time colleagues work 37 hours per week.Working as part of a great team, your focus will be carrying out a wide range of landscape maintenance and improvement works, and communal cleaning, resulting in a consistently high-quality environment, which improves their schemes and estates to createpositive spaces for customers.What are they looking forIt is essential that you have the following skills in order to deliver a high quality service

  • Interest in grounds maintenance and gardening
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good communication skills - written and verbal
  • The ability to demonstrate great teamwork
  • The ability to follow procedures and provide performance data of operations
You will also require a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade D/3 including maths and English OR a Vocational qualification Level 1You will complete a course of study and be working towards a Level 2 Horticultural Operative apprenticeship with the training provider Myerscough over a 2 year period and you will be taught on the job with assessments from the learning provider.What you can expect from themThey offer a Real Living Wage, a generous annual leave entitlement of 31 days plus bank holidays and a pension scheme with employer matched contributions of up to 10%.
