Job Description

About the roleA UI Developers role is to translate creative software design concepts and ideas into reality using front end technology. You will understand the user interface design solution both in its practical intent and creative vision, and convert it into engineeredsoftwares.As a UI Developer you will work within a multi-disciplined team to produce and deliver industry leading HR solutions through innovative thinking. As a member of the team you will have a passion for the product you are developing and have a keen attentionto detail.Key responsibilities include:

  • Work closely and collaborate in a scrum team with developers, UX and QA.
  • To develop and unit test quality code as part of an Agile team.
  • Drive innovative solutions to technical problems on current and new application functionality.
  • Maintain a high awareness of industry issues and trends, particularly with regards to performance, interface design, best practices, and web accessibility.
  • Communicate effectively with other non-technical colleagues and stakeholders for project planning, efforts, estimations and ideas to help drive excellence.
  • Demonstrate a passion for emerging technologies and continually seek to push the boundaries in everything you do.
Skills and experience required
  • 3 years+ experience in similar role.
  • Solid experience in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Solid experience in modern CSS3 techniques such as Grid, Flex, Animations, and CSS Custom Properties.
  • Solid experience in building responsive UI with CSS pre-processors such as SASS or LESS.
  • Good understanding of Web Accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA/A).
  • Good understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6+), such as classes, modules, promises and async/await.
  • Experience with one or more JavaScript frameworks, such as React, AngularJS 1.6+, Angular 5+, Vue.
  • Understanding of component-based architecture.
  • Experience writing unit tests with Jasmine, Jest, or similar.
  • Experience using front end build tools such as NPM or Yarn, Webpack, Rollup or Parcel.
  • Experience in working with Agile SCRUM development practices.
  • Experience with CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap 4+ or Foundation.
