Job Description

Workshop Plater / Welder Location: Alfreton, DerbyshireSalary: Very Competitive DOE + Excellent BenefitsOur client, a renowned steel fabricators with more than seven decades of industry expertise is seeking a Plater / Welder to join their team. The ideal candidate will be someone with apprentice-trained or time-served background to work in their fabrication facilities.Responsibilities:

  • Interpret assembly drawings for fabrication projects.
  • Measure, mark, cut, shape, and drill plates and sections.
  • Utilise workshop tools, plant, and machinery.
  • Work with carbon steel and stainless steel.
  • Maintain quality, output, and production timings.
  • Follow procedures, safety standards, and company rules.
  • Collaborate with the team to meet customer expectations.
  • Conduct daily/weekly/monthly maintenance and safety checks.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role and experience in welding
  • Demonstrate previous welding experience via codings.
  • Adhere to company Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS).
  • Knowledge of weld defect inspection is desirable.
  • Demonstrate a good work ethic and attitude.
