Job Description

Our leading Alfreton based water treatment supplier are seeking a US sales / Support Engineer . This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving business.The qualified candidate will provide applications engineering and sales support for the development of small to medium sized industrial water treatment / purification systems from our UK Product portfolio for our US Business Unit, under the supervision of theCOO, Service and Products.Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with the direct sales team, reviews specifications and customer requirements on small to medium size industrial water treatment equipment opportunities to determine appropriate process solutions, equipment selection, and project costing.
  • Work with drafters to create and develop process schemes.
  • Collaborate to generate sales proposals with appropriate approval levels.
  • Identify and evaluate risks associated with design concept and project.
  • Participate, when needed, in the installation of equipment to ensure it functions according to specifications and design.
  • Analyzes alternative techniques and methods and recommends changes to equipment or procedures as needed.
  • Establishes schedule of procedures and maintenance routines to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
  • Shares technical information and training with other departments.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Communicates with clients, peers, and superiors via verbal and written communications.
  • Knows, understands, and complies with all project/site safety requirements.
  • Complete necessary safety training and wear appropriate levels of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the site conditions and Health & Safety Plan (HASP).
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years experience in industrial water treatment system operation or design.HNC or higher qualification in Industrial, Mechanical, Environmental, and/or Chemical Engineering.
  • Ability to coordinate with Project Management and Sales, and to work independently to meet schedules for deliverables.
  • Knowledge of engineering, including piping, valves, pumps, motors, controls, and instrumentation.
  • Ability to evaluate and operate process equipment, meters, and gauges.Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (AutoCAD a plus).
  • Must be flexible to travel to the US around 3/4 times a year.
Salary £45,000Working in the office 3 days and from home 2 daysHours 9-5 - Monday to Friday
