A Product Test Manager with excellent compliance and legislation skills is required by our eCommerce client based in Alfreton, Derbyshire.The Product Test Manager must be qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and the ideal candidate will have experience of performance testing across a variety of electrical and mechanical products for the consumer markets.You will focus on managing and developing a team of Test Engineers as well as the existing test facility. You will also be responsible for evaluating new and existing products, reporting and supporting the Technical Departments and product buyers.The Product Test Manager will ideally have knowledge of Machinery compliance as well as EMC and Low Voltage Directives, RoHS, PAH’s and REACH. Experience of product standards, directives and legislation in terms of product design, functionality and safety, in relation to electrical and mechanical tools and machinery is essential.REQUIRED SKILLS- Solid understanding of electromechanical tools and machinery- Experience of working on imported electrical consumer products- Staff management and test facility management- Full understanding of mechanical tool compliance and legislation- Qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (HND / Degree)This is a practical role with plenty of scope to grow the department and improve processes which will increase the speed of bringing new products to market.
