Interim Accounts Payable Controller Remote working with the requirement to go in to the office once a month Attractive hourly rate + work from home £ allowance!SF Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Payable Controller to support a fantastic client on a fixed term contract basis. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as part of a busy department, with a strong transactional finance background as well as good working knowledge of full accounts payable process. In addition, you will have strong Excel skills and theability to manage your own workload. You will have the ability to work in a fast paced environment and have a can-do approach to your work. Working in a large team, the successful Accounts Payable Controller will be responsible for: - To actively manage supplier debt in accordance with agreed terms, policies and procedures. - To promptly resolve queries as to maintain continuation of supply & maximise the benefits available from prompt settlement discount. - To develop and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. - To process, reconcile & pay supplier invoices in accordance with agreed standards. - Ensure the integrity of supplier accounts. - Provide accurate & timely information on the status of supplier accounts to inform business decisions, identify & escalate issues & manage supplier expectations. - Provide cover to other members of the team as & when required. - Maintain process & controls to ensure transactions are recorded accurately, timely & in accordance with agreed accounting standards. - Develop functional understanding of systems processes and controls to effectively perform role. - Develop commercial awareness and capability to proactively manage customer relationships in accordance with agreed guidelines. Desired Skills and Experience: - Accounts Payable background - Experience of processing and handling large volumes of data - Reconciliation of accounts with high volume/low value transactions - Some experience within Accounts Payable or general finance environment with exposure to Accounts Payable This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a new assignment to start as soon as possible, with a large, secure corporation who offer employees remote working and flexibility.
