We are a well-established company based in Hampshire, who due to expansion are seeking a Contracts Team Consultant to join our Procurement and Estimating team. This is an excellent opportunity for either a well- established procurement professional, or someone looking to take a step up in their career, coming from a strong sales administration background.As the Contracts Team Consultant you will be office-based working 9am to 5pm Mon to Fri. We place a high value on our supply chains and have worked extremely hard to nurture anddevelop long-lasting relationships with a select group of companies, who act as an extension of our team and our brand.The successful candidate will be working within the Contracts team to estimate the cost of projects and provide accurate and well thought out proposals. The following activities and responsibilities form the important and critical aspects of the job description,however there will be additional tasks connected to the day to day business requirements which are associated with this position.Key Tasks: Tenders Estimate, Take off & Prepare tender document submission to client Keep records of tender submission prices with excel documentation Prepare and release tender packages to Sub- Contractors / suppliers Produce Project Cost Schedule and update daily to ensure profit margin is achieved Liaise with Finance Manger on agreeing payment terms / plans for Suppliers / Sub-Contractors Quotations & Orders Review and analyse Sub- Contractor / Supplier returned quotations Work with Contracts Team to obtain best Supplier quotations Speak with Sub-Contractors / Suppliers to ensure they understand the project requirements Chase Suppliers / Sub-Contracts for their quotations Keep record of weekly / monthly sub-contract valuations Variations Liaise with Contracts team on variations to projects Price and record Variation Orders Submission of Variations to Client Submission and review of Sub-Contractor Variations Update, Forecast input and analyse project cost sheets on daily basis Attend weekly meetings with Project Director and Contracts Team Manager for commercial update on live Projects and update on Projects and Profit Margin.In order to be considered for the Contracts Team Consultant role, excellent spoken and written communication skills, negotiating and networking skills and the mathematical ability to work with figures and budgets are all essential. Good judgement/businesssense, analytical skills and a highly organised and accurate approach are required.You will be able demonstrate working well as part of a team and strong negotiation skills, plus the ability to under pressure.
