Senior Power BI DeveloperI’m currently working with a Leading Financial Services business,looking for a seasoned data professional to join their distinguished data team as they embark on a journey to redefine the use of data and play a pivotal role in answering critical business questionsand supporting decision-making at all levels of the organisation.About the Role: Key Responsibilities:

Lead Data Visualization Workstream: Act as the lead for the data visualization workstream, setting and maintaining best practices while managing the delivery of multiple projects.

Analytics and Visualization Initiatives: Spearhead the delivery of analytics and data visualization initiatives, fostering collaboration across the Group Data Office and the wider business.

Design and Development: Architect and develop reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that are sustainable and aligned with business requirements.

Data Requirements: Define precise data requirements, identify, create, and build suitable data assets to support comprehensive analysis.

Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate findings and results to internal stakeholders, contributing to informed decision-making.

Best Practices Advocacy: Define, promote, and ensure adherence to robust data visualization practices within the team.

Documentation Management: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of BI deliveries.

Mentorship: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.

About You: Skills and Qualifications:

Power BI Expertise: Proficient in Power BI, demonstrating mastery in building best practice Tabular Models, utilizing DAX for measures, and constructing effective visualizations.

Tabular Models: Proficient in tools such as Tabular Editor 2 or 3 and DAX Studio for building Power BI solutions.

CI/CD and Version Control: Experience in implementing Power BI solutions using CI/CD and version control principles.

SQL Proficiency: Strong proficiency in SQL. Familiarity with Databricks is advantageous but not mandatory.

Mentoring Skills: Proven experience in mentoring and coaching junior team members.

Communication Skills: Exceptional communication, influencing, and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
