Job Description

My client is a fast growing software house based in Alderley Edge, a short walk from the train station and with parking on site so easy to get to via public transport or by driving.Hours of work are 9:00am-5:30pm Monday to Friday. Full training will be provided.They are looking for an IT Helpdesk and Technical Support Execuitive to join their team. After initial training period which will be in the office full time, the role will be 3 or 4 days home based. Duties will include:- To provide technical support; answering support queries either via phone or email- To maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles- To take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues- To log all calls on the call logging system and maintain full documentation- Respond to enquiries from clients and help them resolve any software problems (including OS issues)- Maintain a log of any software bugs / vulnerabilitys and report back to line manager- To support a wide variety of users in the use of our products.Skills / Attributes Required:- Relevant technical support experience- Good knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on Windows desktop technologies (XP / Vista / Windows 7)- Experience using and troubleshooting software products- Excellent telephone manner and face to face communication skills- Ability to manage own workload- Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues via remote applications such as Remote Desktop / TeamViewerSalary will depend on skills and experience but will fall between £18-21,000, and increase further once you show what you can do.If you feel you have the skills and abilities to be a success in this role, please apply now via this advert and attach an up to date CV and James will contact you to discuss the next step in your application process.
