Job Description

HR BUSINESS PARTNERFantastic opportunity for a HR Business Partner to join a brilliant organisation in the public sector. Working on an agile working model arrangement with 2 days per week on average in the work base in Huntingdon, the rest work from home.As HR Business Partner you will work collaboratively with the HR advisor and reporting into the HR Manager provide pro-active support and advice to line Managers & Directors on broad, complex HR issues.Lead on the roll out of HR initiatives to drive business improvement and standards to reflect the qualitative standards of the Combined Authority. In addition to general assistance and coaching to the HR team.As HR Business Partner you will be:

  • Lead on business objectives/organisational change programmes which have significant people implications to support the directorates.
  • Contribute to the formation of internal policy and procedures to comply with and/or support legislation and/or good employment practices.
  • Lead on the roll out of HR initiatives such as the development of new systems, tools, processes, and services to maximize business benefit.
  • Partner with the directorates on Resource & Succession planning to attract talented people into the organisation.
  • Pro-actively support the implementation of performance management systems and provide guidance to directors/managers on the continued development of staff.
  • Act as joint HR lead on complex TUPE projects
To be successful you will need:
  • CIPD level 7 or working towards (desirable)
  • CIPD level 5 (essential)
  • A minimum of 5 years generalist experience in HR
  • Ideally have experience in managing TUPE processes
  • A track record of improving policies/processes and driving change (essential)
