Job Description

TIG Welder FabricatorPermanent PositionDay shift (£15.67 per hour)39 hours per week: MonThurs 07.3016.30 and Friday 07.3012.30.AlcesterThis is a great opportunity to join a well-respected manufacturing business who are looking for an experienced TIG Welder. The ideal candidate will have experience TIG welding complex components, as well as a range of thin sheet metals. TIG Welder FabricatorJob Description

  • Manual TIG Welding and fabrications of components to company and customer specification.
  • Read and understand welding symbols as detailed on WPS and Engineering Drawings
  • Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with the relevant procedures
  • Complete operations efficiently in accordance with Job Card instructions to achieve the required outputlevels
  • Read and understand all manufacturing instructions prior to commencing an operation, this includes Machine and Tooling Set Up Packs as required, Engineering Drawings, Data Cards, Inspection Plans etc
  • Carry out in process inspection in accordance with requirements to ensure that components are conforming prior to passing on to subsequent operations
  • Ensure that components identified as non-conforming during in process inspection are identified and communicated in accordance with the Non-Conformance Procedures
TIG Welder Fabricator Essential Experience/ Skills/ Qualifications
  • Strong TIG Welding experience
  • Experience working with a number of materials including: Nickel, stainless steel, aluminium, Inconel
  • Understanding of and safe use of air tools and hand tools.
  • Ability to correctly set components to casting to suit customer specifications
TIG Welder FabricatorDesirable Experience/ Skills/ Qualifications
  • Previous experience welding turbines/aerospace components
