Job Description

Role: Customer Channel Marketing ManagerSalary: £37k - £45kLocation: Alcester, WarwickshireDue to the success of our drinks and beer brewer, we are now helping them to expand their continually growing marketing team, since we started working with them this year.In this role you will be responsible for defining, planning, executing, and evaluating brand activation plans with key retailers and customers. Responsible for both the On and Off Trade, you will leave on driving their 4 brands, taking full ownership ofthe channel marketing agenda across the full brand portfolio.Role Responsibilities In detail

  • As a Customer Marketing Manager, you will sit right at the heart of the business, across sales and marketing and working across the On and Off Trade Channels to drive excellent execution of their priority brands.
  • Reporting to and under the guidance of Head of Marketing youll work autonomously to ensure a clear and aligned channel strategy is in place that can be easily and effectively communicated to sales teams within each channel.
  • With support of key members of the Marketing, Customer Service and Sales teams youll develop brilliant 30-60-90 day rolling activation customer plans that can be tailored as necessary to maximize opportunities by customer and channel.
  • Youll be responsible for day-to-day ownership of brand activation budgets
  • Working closely with their On Trade Sales Director, Head of Off Trade Sales and Head of On Trade Multiples & Wholesale, youll provide category & segmentation insight and development to the Sales team at team meetings.
  • Youll understand and drive the commercial performance of their brands, identifying opportunities for further revenue and profit growth whilst recommending corrective interventions as required.
  • Youll manage development and delivery of all brands sell in and support materials, maximizing visibility and impact across all sales channels and routes to market as agreed with the Head of Marketing.
  • CustomerComms planning:
    • Build a 30-60-90 rolling activation plan across both channels, ensuring we drive brilliant visibilityall year round against the business objectives and brand priorities
    • Work with creative partners and agencies to develop best in class assets for the B2B channel
    • Collaboratively working with Stadia, Festivals & Events Manager on the delivery of trade event
Key Requirements / Previous Experience:
  • You will be comfortable in managing multiple brands
  • You will have excellent project management skills.
  • You will have experience of working within Brand &/or Marketing teams, preferably in a drinks / beer environment.
  • You will ideally have 3 to 5 years experience as Sales or Customer Marketing Manager or equivalent channel marketing position.
  • You will have developed successful channel marketing activation campaigns and provided evaluation of their effectiveness versus objectives.
  • You will ideally have experience of applying strategic marketing principles, consumer & category insights to drive brand growth in trade.
  • You will have the desire and ability to build powerful relationships and work collaboratively within and across a team.
At interview you will need to demonstrate evidence of experience in:
  • Significant interpersonal and influencing skills to communicate effectively to board level
  • Ability to build and develop relationships at every level is an essential pre-requisite of this role.
  • An extensive external network within the drinks and beer industry and associated businesses will be required.
  • Highly developed negotiation skills through practical experience.
  • Commercially creative, innovative, with a need to deeply understand commercial plans and brand equity management.
As well as a highly competitive basic salary this channel marketing role provides a range of fantastic benefits, including a bonus, contributory pension scheme as well as the ability to help shape and implement the future growth of the business.Location: Travel twice a week to places as north as Nottingham, West as London and South as Bristol, with a need to be in the office near Alcester / Stratford-Upon-Avon 3 days a week.
