Job Description

The RoleCommercial Assistant, Permanent, Alcester, RoofSpace Solutions (Saint Gobain).At RoofSpace Solutions we pride ourselves on our ability to provide a great welcome to our customers, being proactive when helping them, being trusted, and recognised for our customer first approach. If you enjoy working with people, yourea good listener and you think you could help our customers feel welcome, then this Commercial Assistant role based in Alcester on a permanent basis could be a great opportunity for you.What will I be doing in this roleAs a Commercial Assistant, being part of the Estimating Team the primary purpose of the role is to prepare and produce quotations for the design, manufacture and installation of the RoofSpace I-Roof. The Estimator is to work alongside both our clients designteam and our own design team / contracts team / production team / sales team to ensure the RoofSpace I-Roof quotations are accurate and profitable.RequirementsKey day to day duties include:

  • Utilising the companys bespoke CRM system
  • Creating quotations and pricing proposals (and where necessary revise as required)
  • To liaise with Roofspace design team / contracts team / production team / sales team / external
  • To liaise with external suppliers
  • To be responsive to administrative and in house queries relating to scheduling of materials
  • To update the quotation workflow to ensure visibility of projects to other department
  • Ad hock duties as required to meet the needs of the business
  • Act as a key point of contact, liaising with clients, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders; delivering excellent customer service
  • Ensure full compliance with Company health, safety, security and environmental standards
  • Able to gather information from client drawings and disseminate to stakeholders
  • Check supplier quotations for accuracy before liaising with the Senior Estimator ahead of quotation submission
  • Maintain client folders and drawing registers.
  • Keep accurate records of internal and external meetings and circulate to stake holders

  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Reading / understanding Architectural drawings
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
  • Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams)
  • CRM / Database Experience
  • Strong GCSE and/or A level results
Desirable
  • Industry experience
  • House buildings knowledge
  • Background in building distribution or the construction industry - Product knowledge
