The idealcandidate will be well-versed handling sales and purchase invoices, will have great communication skills, and will have the ability to work well in a fast-paced high-volume environment!Accounts ClerkJob Description

  • Process all invoices and raise sales invoices
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Prepare control account reconciliations for purchase ledger
  • Process supplier payments by BACS or one-off payments
  • Enhance controls in place for processes and suggest improvements to the current processes and controls.
  • Ensure customer accounts are fully reconciled on an on-going basis
  • Liaise with customers regarding any disputed invoices
  • Assist in the preparation of the daily cash books
  • Provide cover to the Assistant Accounts Controller during periods of absence
  • Assist in the preparation of VAT returns
Accounts ClerkEssential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
  • Demonstratable experience carrying out a similar Accounts Clerk position
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel
  • Track record of processing high volumes of invoices
  • Ability to build good relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and customers
  • Strong problem-solving skills (daily occurrence through invoice queries)
  • Ability to work well under pressure
