Job Description

ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT - PERM - ALCESTER - HYBRID WORKING - 25-30K paWFH 2 Days a week - With a half day friday.Role Accountabilities:

  • To process all invoices in line with agreed service level agreement
  • Reconcile supplier statements including but not limited to the top 20 suppliers
  • Prepare control account reconciliations for purchase ledger - inclusive of GRNI and Query Log
  • Process supplier payments by BACS or one-off payments for review for processing
  • To enhance controls in place for processes and suggest improvements to the current processes and controls
  • To respond to supplier queries within 48 hours and reduce supplier queries by assisting the business in getting things right first time
  • Raise sales invoices on a daily basis in accordance with service level agreement
  • Ensure customer accounts are fully reconciled on an on-going basis and assume responsibility for the collection monies due
  • Liaise with customers regarding any disputed invoices and assist site to promptly resolve the queries for swift payment
  • Assist in the preparation of the daily cash books
  • Provide cover to the Assistant Accounts Controller during periods of absence
  • Assist in the preparation VAT returns
