Job Description

Engineering ManagerDo you have experience in the turbine industryHave you previously managed a team of mechanical engineersAre you looking for a new role in a world leading companySearch are proud to be working with a world leading company on the recruitment of an Engineering Manager. This is a key role within the company, to support current and future technology contracts.This is a full time permanent role based in Scotlands central belt.Responsibilities

  • Manage small team of Mechanical Engineers involved in technical support for gas turbine operations and maintenance worldwide. Including unit overhauls, component repair, new component supply, reverse engineering, product development.
  • Liaise with other senior managers in the day to day activities of running the company.
  • Vet and approve designs, specifications, orders, reports and other information of a technical nature.
  • Promote the interests of the company in all aspects of engineering and related costs.
  • Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures within the engineering department
Competencies
  • Relevant degree or other equivalent professional qualification(s)
  • Experience in a senior engineering manager position
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirements
  • Detailed understanding of compliance requirements for all relevant engineering standards
  • Experience of the gas turbine industry.
