Job Description

Position –CNC Miller (VMC &HMC) – Programmer/Setter/OperatorSalary – £15.99 – £17.09/hr(Subject to skills & experience) (Approx. – 32.4k – 34.6k + Overtime)Hours– 39 hrs per week + overtimeShift– Single Days – Mon – Thurs7.30 – 16.30& Fri7.30 – 12.30.Location–LiverpoolBackgroundWe are an ISO 9001:2015 SME Subcontract Engineering Company based on Merseyside. Since then, we have gone on to become a first-choice supplier to blue chip companiesfrom within the Oil, Gas, Fluid & Power Generation Sectors, specialising in the manufacture and supply of precision valve & components.PositionWe have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our CNC Milling Cell as a programmer, setter, operator at our Liverpool site. As a subcontract machine shop, we only manufacture one offs and small batch work and believe the best way to do this is by allowingour employees to utilise their skills to the full. The role will involve working from precision drawings to create programs, selecting tooling, proving and finish machining many components from raw bar stock, fabrications, profiles, castings, and forgingsof various grades of steel, stainless steel, and alloy steels, using the latest CNC Vertical & Horizontal Machining centres equipped with 4th Axis & Renishaw probing. Programming can be done offline via One CNC – XR8 3D milling software or on the machine usingManual Guide software or via standard ISO keyboard input. RequirementsEssential candidate requirements:

Must be time served (NVQ 3 or Equivalent)
Able to fully program, Set and operate Vertical Machining Centres using Fanuc Controls
Understand ISO 9001:2015 Quality Systems
Work from detailed engineering drawings
Previous experience with machining of exotic metals (super duplex, duplex, 718, x750, Hastelloy, Monel etc)
Good Planning and Organising skills
Good communication Skills with both peers and Management
Attention to detail
Experience in a previous or similar position (2 years minimum)

Preferred experience but not essential requirements:

Doosan Vertical Machining Centres (750 – 2200mm Beds)
Kafo H630 (Twin pallet Horizontal Machining Centre) Fanuc Control
Manual Guide Programming
One CNC Programming Software
4th axis programming / machining
Valve and pump components.
Oil, Gas, Fluid and Power generation industry sectors
Office 365 / ERP Systems Other skills within a subcontract machine shop
