Job Description

A private nursery in Accrington is looking for a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to provide ad-hoc cover in the case of staff absences and training. You will be required to be available a minimum of 3 days per week. The hourly rate of pay is £11 and thevarious shifts you may be asked to cover are:08:0013:00 (5 hours)12:0018:00 (6 hours)08:0018:00 with a 30-minute lunch break (9.5 hours)The nursery care for and educate children from the age of 3 months5 years. It is divided into 3 rooms: Babies, Toddlers and Pre-school.Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Supporting a child-led learning approach
  • Creating a stimulating learning environment
  • In-the-moment planning activities based off the childs interests
  • Supporting SEN children
  • Promoting healthy eating
  • Promoting independence
  • Supporting colleagues within the room to keep a safe environment
Please notepersonal care is not required for this role due to company policy. Job Requirements:To be successful in your application, you must have/be:
  • A Level 3 relevant qualification for Early Years
  • A minimum of 6 months experience in an Early Years setting (Primary Reception may be included)
  • Great communication skills
  • The ability to follow instruction from others
  • Flexible availability
  • Pro-active and approachable
  • Good knowledge of safeguarding children
