Job Description

Children’s Senior Residential Support Workers/Residential Support WorkersAn exciting position has become available for full-time children’s Senior Residential Support Workers/Residential Support Workers to join an existing team based in Abergavenny. The successful candidate will earn £21,450 to £26,000 per annum (including sleep-in allowance) and will want to utilise their experience, knowledge and creativity for the benefit of the young people.Role Requirements

  • To be considered for the Senior position you must hold QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care - Children and Young People or a recognised predecessor qualification.
  • You need to be physically fit and willing to undertake various activities such as bike riding, swimming and walking.
  • Have an open, compassionate and enquiring disposition.
  • You must have a full manual driving licence
  • For legal reasons must be aged 21 or over.

  • To plan, manage and lead shifts that contribute to all aspects of the physical and emotional wellbeing of the children
  • Promote, safeguard and protect the welfare of each young person
  • Provide an excellent level of care and support
  • To work well as part of a team
  • To build an excellent rapport with young people and their family members
