The team that you will work within is a highlydriven team of professionals supporting the needs of both the brokers and analytical staff as they guide their clients in a wide range of offshore market segments, including everything from large scale development of offshore wind parks to maintenance of deep-waterOil and Gas infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesShipbrokers work as intermediaries between vessel Charterers and vessel Owners, assisting in the sourcing, negotiating and procuring of vessels. As an apprentice web developer, you will be working on the front-end web aspects of our core, bespoke applicationthat encompasses a market leading set of broker tools that include, but are not limited to, market intelligence, vessel location mapping, dynamic vessel availability data and CRM tools. The Hagland digital ecosystem is built on a .NET Core/SQL Server back-end,feeding a web front end (Javascript/JQuery, HTML5, CSS and an Angular PWA) via AJAX and a custom API. Knowledge transfer is a core part of how we work as a team.ApprenticeshipprogramWhile working your normal duties at Hagland Shipbrokers you will also be completing your SCQF Level 6 diploma in Software and Web Development (10-12 months), on completion of this you will have the opportunity to progress and gain your SCQF Level 8 qualification(10-12 months). The course covers python, .net fundamentals, data modelling & SQL, web development and .net advanced. The training you will undergo will be tailored to match your job role at Hagland to make sure you are in a great place to succeed.
