Job Description

Warehouse Operative - Aberdeen - Up to £28,000Our client who are a known freight forwarder are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join their team in Aberdeen.The purpose of the role is to maintain the smooth running of the warehouse, assisting in the receiving and dispatching of freight into and out of the warehouse and yard.Job type: Permanent - Full timeHours: 09:00am - 17:30pm | Monday to FridayPackage:

  • Up to £28,000 (DOE)
  • 33 days holiday per annum inclusive of PH
  • Life Assurance 2 x annual basic salary
  • Pension - auto-enrolled at 3 months, 5% employee, 3% employer contribution
  • Simply Health cash back scheme following successful completion of Probationary Period - 6 months.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Receiving and checking all freight into the warehouse.
  • All incoming freight to be weighed, measured, and logged in a daily receipt register.
  • Communicating with Warehouse Manager and all warehouse staff.
  • Preparing, packing, labelling goods for despatch
  • Stock control on customers goods in our warehouse and yard.
  • Weekly report on all goods still held in warehouse and yard.
  • Use of forklifts.
  • Keep warehouse and yard clean, tidy and safe
  • Aviation security awareness.
  • Health and Safety awareness.
  • Manual handling awareness.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working within UK transport and/or logistics sector
  • Based in the UK
  • Current unrestricted drivers license
  • Forklift license (Preferred)
