Job Description

Valve Technician required for my client within the oilfield equipment manufacturer industry, based in Aberdeen.The successful valve technician will join a present department and assist with all service and inspection of the clients equipment.The valve technician MUST be time-served and be willing to go offshore on an ad-hoc basis.Valve Technician Position Overview

  • Strip down and preparation for inspection of client equipment received for repair.
  • The assembly, testing and painting of API valves and equipment after manufacture repair / re-manufacture.
  • To applicable specifications as detailed on route sheet instructions.
  • Completing traceability reports and ensuring all stages of work completed are signed off on route sheets.
  • Maintaining traceability at all stages of production.
  • Maintenance of test equipment.
  • Ensure good housekeeping is maintained in all areas.
  • Carry out any additional tasks within capabilities as directed by the workshop supervisor or management.
  • Working offshore or at clients premises as required.
  • Offshore Certificate would be advantageous but not essential.
Valve Technician Position Requirements
  • Time served qualified valve technician with good overall experience in the role.
  • Time served qualified valve technician required who is willing to go offshore on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Experience on valves and the manufacturing / repair work that comes with the position.
  • Based within a commutable distance of Aberdeen.
  • Willing to travel off-shore to attend to client sites and project maintenance that is needed.
  • Full UK driving licence is beneficial.
Valve Technician Position Remuneration
  • Salary - £16.87 per hour (Time Served)
  • 40hours a week 08:00 - 16:30 with 30mins unpaid lunch.
  • Holiday package - 30 days (inclusive of 10 public holidays).
  • Company pension scheme.
