Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Ships Agent in Aberdeen, Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity to build your career with a market leader in the shipping and logistics industry.Responsibilities:

  • Act as a primary point of contact for ship owners, captains, and port authorities, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service.
  • Coordinate and oversee all activities related to vessel arrivals, departures, and port operations.
  • Handle documentation and administrative tasks, including customs clearance, cargo manifests, and port regulations.
  • Liaise with various stakeholders, including shipping companies, customs officials, and port authorities, to ensure efficient operations.
  • Monitor vessel schedules, cargo loading/unloading, and berth allocations, ensuring timely execution.
  • Provide accurate and timely information to clients regarding vessel status, cargo availability, and port regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate logistics and resolve any operational issues.
Requirements:
  • Possess a valid car and driving license, as some travel may be required.
  • Availability to provide weekend nightshift cover once every two months.
  • Ability to work standard hours from Monday to Friday, 0800-1630.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to handle multiple vessel operations simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Prior experience in the shipping and logistics industry is preferred but not mandatory.
