Job Description

RecruiterDo you have recruitment experience If so, read on.The Recruitment Co are recruiting for a 12 month cover role for our client based in Portlethen.Salary:£30,0000Location: PortlethenContract: 12 month coverStart Date: April 2023CP Dundee Role Requirements

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle to support site staffing requirements, creating a positive candidate experience.
  • Working with the HR Manager to implement the recruiting strategy for the site.
  • Recruit in line with site minimum resourcing levels, consulting with managers as required.
  • Consistently write and post engaging job adverts on all suitable platforms (including careers sites, social media sites,government sites).
  • Source candidates using all means available (including databases, social media, referral scheme, careers fares etc).
  • Evaluate candidate applications in accordance with job role requirements.
  • Understand and advocate career and developmental opportunities to candidates.
  • Complete candidate legislative qualifying checks (such as right to work, immigration/visa sponsorship and ID).
  • Screen multinational candidates for suitability (via telephone or video call).
  • Develop and use recruiting tools to determine candidates skills (such as tests and assessments).
  • Provide short listed candidates and arrange interviews for hiring managers (including block tests).
  • Develop standardised interview questions (situational/competency based etc).
  • Support hiring managers with interview process and questions.
  • Working with the HR Advisor to prepare new hire paperwork.
  • Maintain record of interviews, updating new hire employee files as required.
  • Work with the Training department to ensure training plans are engaged for all new employees from day 1.
  • Obtaining and communicating feedback from new employees on induction and onboarding process to supportemployee retention.
  • Develop and regularly update job descriptions/specifications.
  • Maintain weekly and monthly metrics and commentary on site recruitment KPIs (time to hire, conversion ofinterviews to new hire etc).
  • Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports for site, undertaking and producing regular marketresearch to understand and monitor key competition in region.
  • Support the HR Manager and work with division/group recruitment teams to help design site recruitment strategy.
  • Continually identify and explore new recruitment methods and initiatives to pre-empt/respond to recruitmentrequirements.
  • Stay up to date with current recruiting methods and insights on employment matters which may impact the business(including immigration/visa sponsorship, labour mark trends etc).
  • Support the HR Manager and work with Marketing to help build, represent, and promote the employer brand online,with candidates and at recruitment/careers fares.
  • Support the HR Manager to build links to the local community and employer brand through recruitment activities.
  • Work with the HR Manager to develop and rationalise RMUK Agency Preferred Supplier List (PSL) for site/divisionand maintain effective working relationships, reviewing and refreshing Terms of Business as required.
  • Regularly engage and share best practice with other UK and Ireland site/divisional recruitment teams.
  • Actively participate in site and functional strategic and ad hoc projects.
  • Any other duties as required by management and within the competency of the post holder.Attributes, Skills and Experience Requirements

  • Proven experience at co-ordinator level or above essential (either in-house or agency recruiter)
  • Experience working within a FMCG environment preferred
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills essential
  • Tenacious and proactive approach to sourcing candidates essential
  • Ability to prioritise and complete projects within deadlines
  • Solid knowledge of HR policies and recruiting best practices
  • Hands on experience with selection processes
  • Ability to conduct different types of interviews (e.g. structured, competency based and behavioural)
  • Familiarity with HR databases, applicant/candidate management systems and social media/careers platforms
  • Strong IT skills (particularly MS Office)
