Job Description

Engage Talent Partners are working exclusively with our client to source and recruit a Project Estimating Engineer.The Project Estimating Engineers main purpose will be to carry out project estimating for small to large fabrication / piping work scopes a per customer enquiries, ITTs and RFQs.Responsibilities will include:

  • To carry out tasks as requested by the Workshop Manager or Divisional Manager
  • Estimating of small and large fabrication / piping projects as per customer enquiries, ITTs & RFQs, scope of works, specifications, and requirements
  • Prepare and submit tender, quotation and supporting documentation in line with company work instructions and processes
  • Customer liaison, meetings, reporting and communication for fabrication & piping projects
  • Assist with workshop project documentation and certification
  • Estimating win / loss reporting to Workshop Manager
  • Maintain a safe and tidy working environment and always make appropriate use of PPE
  • Work to HSE ACOPs, customer rules & specifications, company / divisional work instructions and forms always
  • Always represent the company in a professional manner
  • Carry out any other reasonable task / activities as requested by Divisional Manager or Senior Management Team
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years estimating experience in a fabrication, or piping engineering environment and have a minimum of SVQ level 3 in a relevant trade qualification. They will have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawingsand BOMs and be comfortable liaising with clients as well as sub-contractors.The successful candidate will have a positive attitude and a solution driven mindset. They will be able to work on their own initiative to meet challenging deadlines and have excellent communication skills.
