Job Description

As a leading provider of wireless down-hole communications systems, our understanding of this technology plays a major part in our success. As part of our ongoing development of our down-hole communications technology the Mechanical engineering departmentare looking for an enthusiastic and driven Mechanical Draughtsperson to join our team.Working within a multi-disciplinary engineering team, the role would suit an experienced Mechanical Draughter and will involve providing draughting support to the mechanical team working on new and existing surface equipment and downhole tools. The successfulapplicant will work primarily within the Mechanical arm of the R&D department to expand and enhance the range of services that we provides. The role offers the opportunity to work on leading edge technology in the well test and production areas of the Oil& Gas industry.Principal Duties:

  • The Mechanical Draughtsperson will be required to:
  • Generate CAD drawings (layouts, assemblies, detail, client etc.)
  • Assist with generating procedures (assembly, test etc.)
  • Assist with generating engineering test reports.
  • Assist with performing test build and prototype testing of new equipment.
  • Participate in design reviews.
  • Support internal and external customers on technical queries.
  • Maintain design files and related documentation.
  • Support operations by working at client sites (onshore and offshore).
Required Knowledge & Experience:
  • CAD and PDM application skills (ideally Autodesk Inventor and Vault)
  • Good verbal and communication skills.
  • Use of MS Office applications.
  • Experience with mechanical components and mechanisms.
Desirable Knowledge & Experience:
  • Oilfield downhole tools experience.
