Job Description

Mechanical Design Engineer (HVAC)£50,000 - £55,000 + 28 days holiday + pension + excellent career progressionAberdeen Are you an experienced mechanical engineer with HVAC experience looking to work for a growing specialist manufacturer in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration focused on the offshore Oil & Gas marketDo you want to support some of the worlds largest companies in delivering safety critical integrated solutions and enjoy an environment where career progression and development is encouragedAs the Manufacturing Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and engineering of piping systems, air conditioning, refrigeration equipment and engineered packages for in-house manufacture within the oil & gas, petrochemical and marine industriesResponsibilities:

  • Carry out detailed design, calculations and project drawings
  • Project planning, cost control and daily management of allocated in house manufacturing projects
  • Detailed design including design calculations, refrigeration system design and fabrication design and specification of components
  • Creation, checking and approval of documentation, drawings, data sheets, work packs and user manuals etc
  • Selection of equipment and checking compliance with relevant specifications and requirements
  • Compiling Material Take Off spreadsheets for procurement of materials and components.
  • Liaising with clients both during and post project
  • Providing engineering support for the Operations Manager - Manufacturing
The person:
  • ONC/HNC in Mechancial Engineering and 3D CAD experience
