IT/EPOS Field Service Engineer

Job Description

Concept are currently recruiting for I.T / Epos Hardware Break-fix Field Service Engineers. Our clients Field Service team is made up of passionate, friendly and experienced engineers dedicated to providing exceptional IT solutions and support to the Retail industry. We are looking for someone that has a strong technical background and is ready to deliver an amazing service. You will receive a range of experience and exposure, with lots of support and fantastic employee benefits / care.

  • Onsite support
  • Field based work
  • Diagnostics, swap out, break fix, upgrades and builds of both IT hardware and Retail IT hardware - including cables and peripherals
  • Desktop, Network and EPOS / Retail Tech
  • New system installations & upgrades (desktop, laptop, network, EPOS)
  • Communication with clients
  • Support, procedures & ticket management
  • Work in conjunction with customer policies and processes
  • Maintain skills and knowledge required to perform the role to the required standard and be accepting of further training
  • Embrace new technologies and adapt to change
  • Achieve KPI of 5 visits/ fixes per day
Requirements:Strong Knowledge / understanding (MUST HAVE):
  • Setup/ Installation of EPoS, scanners and chip and pin
  • Setup/Installation Windows 7,8,10 and MAC OS
Basic Knowledge / understanding (MUST HAVE):
  • Routers, Switches config, APs, Printer (Scan to mail/Printer), EPOS
Any Knowledge / understanding (GOOD TO HAVE):
  • Servers, Cisco ASA Firewall, Routers (NAT, PAT) & Switches (Vlan, VPN), SNMP)
Must have:
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-starter and driven towards excellence
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Works well autonomously
  • Able to hit the ground running
  • 2+ years solid IT OR Retail experience
  • IT certified (either or all - Microsoft, Cisco, A+, N+)
  • Good customer facing skills
  • Ongoing collaboration with team members to improve on current systems and processes.
  • Ability to pass BPSS & SC Clearance as these are required to complete if successful
Shifts with open vacancies:
  • Monday to Friday 9.00am - 17.30 with 24x7 OOH support
  • Weekends and evenings - 1 in 2
Package:
  • £24,000

Additional pay:
  • OOH rota 24x7 - 1 weekend in 2 - Circa 4k per year on top of salary
  • Call out paid as overtime
  • Overtime payment applicable if not part of shift
