We are a well-established and rapidly growing logistics company based in Aberdeen, specialising in freight forwarding services for domestic and international clients. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a talented and motivated Freight Forwarder or skilled logistics professional to join our dynamic team. As a Freight Forwarder, you will play a crucial role in managing the transportation of goods for our clients.Your responsibilities will include:• Coordinating and arranging shipments, both import and export, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to all relevant regulations and requirements.• Liaising with customers, suppliers, and carriers to facilitate smooth and efficient transportation processes.• Preparing and reviewing shipping documentation, including customs paperwork, permits, and other necessary documentation.• Tracking shipments and providing regular updates to clients on the status of their goods.• Addressing any issues or delays that may arise during the transportation process and finding effective solutions.• Collaborating with various departments within the company to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer service.• Staying up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve service• quality.Requirements:• Previous experience as a Freight Forwarder or in a similar logistics role is essential.• Solid understanding of import and export regulations and procedures.• Proficient in handling shipping documentation and customs clearance processes.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, suppliers, and team members.• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities to manage multiple shipments and resolve challenges proactively.• Knowledge of various transportation modes (air, sea, road, etc.) and their respective requirements is preferred.• Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in the logistics industry.Benefits:• Competitive salary in the range of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.• All overtime is paid.• Opportunities for career growth and professional development within a dynamic and expanding company, opportunities to work abroad with company.• Comprehensive benefits package, 38 days annual leave, birthday off, regular team socials and a company bonus.• A supportive and collaborative work environment that values teamwork and innovation.• Hybrid working available once fully trained.
